Continue to Huanchaco, an ancestral fishermen’s cove where you will appreciate the old boats called “Caballitos de Totora” with which the millennial tradition of artisanal fishing is maintained. Lunch in Huanchaco and in the afternoon visit to the ancient citadel of Chan Chan, whose extension is approximately 18 km2. We will observe the impressive original collection of gold, silver and gilt copper that the museum houses, it is a true sacred temple that houses kings of the Moche culture, the main ones being: The Tomb of the Lord of Sipán, which shows us a replica of his burial , with the characters sacrificed in honor of the Lord of Sipan; The Tomb of the Priest; Tombs of the Old Lord of Sipán, where the largest works made of gold can be seen. We will also observe the original remains of the Lord of Sipán, as well as its more than 400 pieces including: earmuffs, necklaces, jewelry, ornaments and headdresses worked in gold, silver, turquoise, spondyllus, cotton and feathers. The great Lord of Sipán, a warrior chief considered a demigod by his people, a supreme being found in a great clay pyramid, intact for more than 1500 years. Very close to the place where the tomb of the Lord of Sipan was found. Excursion to Huaca Rajada. It is located 35 kilometers from Chiclayo. It is the place where the intact remains of one of the most important rulers, priest and warrior of the Mochica culture, El Señor de Sipan, were discovered in 1987. The construction of this mausoleum consists of a low platform and two large adobe pyramids. In the discovery it was found that the tomb of the dignitary was accompanied by the remains of a warrior, a priest, two women, a child, a llama and a guardian with amputated feet.
